UBUNTU WOMEN
Beachy Salt Spray
Great for volume and a beachy vibe
What you will need
- Funnel
- Measuring Cups & Spoons
- 500ml Amber Glass Bottle
- Spray Top
- Small pot
*NB: Ensure all glassware and utensils are sterilised and dry before starting to ensure you don’t introduce any water or bacteria into the mixture.
Ingredients
- 2 cups of Distilled Water
- 2 teaspoons of Sea Salt or Himalayan Pink Salt
- 2 teaspoons of Epsom salts
- 2 tablespoons of Fractionated Coconut oil
- 6-8 drops of Lavender essential oil
Method
- Add the 2 cups of distilled water to the pot and turn the stove onto a low heat.
- Add the Sea Salt, Epsom Salts and Coconut oil to the pot and stir until all the ingredients are dissolved. The water should be warm enough to dissolve the salt and melt the Coconut oil but not hot.
- Remove from the heat and allow it to cool for 2 minutes before adding the essential oil.
- Stir the solution well and use the funnel to pour it into the bottle.
- Attach the spray applicator and shake give the bottle a good shake.
To use: apply the spray to slightly damp, towel dried hair after washing or to dry hair to add some texture. Start at the tips and work your way half-way up the length of your hair, scrunching the hair as you go. Avoid spraying it directly onto your roots as it will dry out your roots and scalp. Allow your hair to air dry or finish up your look with the hair dryer.
